As we began Oak Shadows Retirement Community in 1987, it was our desire to develop a quality Retirement Center and make it available for Seniors at an affordable cost. In order to accomplish this objective, we felt there were three factors that were essential. First, find an existing property that would lend itself to a conversion to a retirement center through a cost effective, but quality rehabilitation program, thus saving the high cost of building a new facility. Second, employ and train a competent staff and instill within them the sense of "caring for residents" that is so important. Third, manage the property in a close "hands on" manner, personally supervising the daily operations of the facility, as this is the only way ensure that our residents are indeed, treated like family.

We have used these concepts to develop an environment that is unique to Oak Shadows Retirement Community, where residents are free to pursue their interests without interference or the hassles of keeping up a house, but also to know that someone is nearby to meet any need, whether it is an emergency, or just someone to talk to. We encourage you to come visit, sample our cooking, and talk to the people who live here. You just may come away with a new idea of what retirement living can be.

At Oak Shadows we have brought together the friendliest, and most caring staff in every department. You will be treated professionally, sincerely, and warmly like a family member. The exceptional mixture of complete professionalism and warm family involvement makes you look forward to everyday here.
