Under the direction of a physician Oakshadows Home Health Care provides a complete range of health services which are available to clients in their place of residence. These services may include the following:

SKILLED NURSING: Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses perform all nursing needs such as teaching, assessments, and skilled nursing procedures.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY: Registered Occupational Therapist can assist in the improvement of functional abilities such as feeding, grooming, dressing, and homemaking skills.

SPEECH THERAPY: Certified Speech Pathologist can assist with a program of speech and language instruction to improve communication skills which may have been lost due to disease or accident.

LICENSED MEDIACL SOCIAL WORKER: The Licensed Medical Social Worker can offer counseling to assist with social, emotional and financial problems as part of the total health program.

HOME HEALTH AIDES: Certified Home Health Aides to assist with personal care, vital signs and homemaking needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT: Oakshadows Home Health Care will coordinate medical equipment and supplies as necessary to meet your treatment goals. These items may include such things as a hospital bed, wheelchair, commode, oxygen, canes, crutches, walkers, wound care, and many more items. Many of these items may be covered by insurance.

LABORATORY TESTING: A Registered Nurse will perform routine laboratory testing.

We can no stress the importance of having Home Health on-site at Oak Shadows Retirement Community. Some of those reasons are as follows:
1. Care coordination by a Registered Nurse
2. Registered Nurse on call 24 hours 7 days a week
3. Home care available 7 days a week if necessary
4. Continuity of staff with your loved ones(s)
5. Ability to visit with Registered Nurse when you visit your loved one(s)
6. Registered Nurse available should emergency situations arise

Home Health Services are reimbursed by Medicare and Medicaid. Private insurance companies provide selected home health benefits. For your convenience Oakshadows Home Health Care will submit all insurance claims.
